The Elephant Ear Wash System is an affordable ear washer that is simple enough to use at home and effective enough that it is used by many physicians and doctors offices.  Designed by a physician, the spray bottle provides enough water pressure to quickly and thoroughly clean ears, and holds enough solution to clean both ears without refilling. It’s a great tool for anyone who has trouble with waxy buildup in the ears, and an alternative to costly doctors office visits for cleanings.
Safety:
Earwax, Sometimes referred to as Ear Wax (2 words) or Cerumen (the medical term for earwax) is a naturally occurring protective material that is generated by the outer ear to prevent intrusion into the middle and inner ear by foreign bodies such as dust, hair, or even bugs. Sometimes, however, earwax itself can form a blockage inside the ear and lead to discomfort, pain, or even temporary hearing loss. Some people use cotton swabs to clan the ears, but this can compress earwax inside the ear, and the abrasive contact with the ear can actually lead to the increased production of earwax. A body-temperature solution from the Elephant ear washer can be a gentle, soothing way to safely remove earwax.
Not everyone should remove earwax manually – normally ear wax serves it’s protective function and maintains healthy levels without intervention. For some people this is not the case unfortunately, and the Elephant Ear Wash Systems offer a safe and simple solution.
Not only adults experience issues related to earwax buildup. The Doctor Easy Earwash System is safe for use by children as well as adults. According to Dr. Easy: “Our ear washer can be used on any age ranging from infants to adults. If the tip is too long you can always cut it.”
Instructions:
Do not use this device in the presence of infection, ruptured tympanic membranes or tympanic tubes.
Make sure to install a tip before using. Ensure that the tip end is not inserted too far into the ear canal as to avoid injury to the tympanic membrane. DO NOT PULL Tip off end, make sure to UNSCREW after each use. Also, if flow of fluid is impeded due to the bending or plugging of tip end, back pressure may cause the nozzle/tubing to separate from the barbed end of fitting.
Doctor Easy recommends a solution of 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide to 4 parts “body temperature” water. If desired, add a few drops of shampoo to the solution. Mix well before using. The Manufacturer assumes no responsibility for any other solution use.
Do not use this device for any other purpose except that for which it is intended.
Always read the instructions printed on the bottle prior to each use. Rinse away any remaining solutions in the ear and allow the device to dry.
You may disinfect the exterior of the blue nozzle/tube by wiping off with diluted disinfectant solution. You may disinfect the interior with the same solution by spraying through the trigger mechanism. DO NOT use autoclave.
